Donate Your Unused Flying Fifteen to a Great Cause in Canada!

General

We have received an inspiring request from the newly established Flying Fifteen Association of Canada, based at the Salt Spring Island Sailing Club in British Columbia.

They have been sourcing older Classic and Silver boats, upgrading the rigging, and providing free fleet sailing and lessons to over 50 local sailors. It is a fantastic initiative designed to get new people on the water and growing the global Flying Fifteen family.

The Ask: Having already successfully imported a container of gifted boats from Australia, they are now looking to source 5 or 6 Classic or Silver Flying Fifteens from Ireland to fill a shipping container.

They have raised the funds to cover all international freight and shipping costs. They are looking for donated boats—specifically boats that are currently sitting completely unused in sheds or driveways, gathering dust, but are still structurally sound.

These boats will be owned collectively by their association for community use, will never be resold, and will be maintained by the club.

How You Can Help: If you have an older boat that is surplus to requirements, and you would love to see it given a vibrant second life rather than sitting idle, please consider donating it to the project.

Please contact Peter or Niall if you’re interested.
