Dun Laoghaire aces Dave Gorman and Chris Doorly won a convincing victory at the Mitsubishi Flying Fifteen National Championship held over the weekend at their home club.
With 32 boats competing, the National YC duo scored two firsts with consistently high finishes over seven races, and in the end had a race to spare.
Second in the event was British visitor and three-time World Champion Steve Goacher, sailing with Martin Grady, while Sean Graig of the Royal St George YC, sailing with NYC’s Alan Green, finished third.
Tom Murphy and Carel La Roux topped the silver fleet, with Brian O’Neill and Mary Jane Mulligan heading up the bronze.
